Therapy for LGTBQ people

I provide non-judgmental, supportive therapy to people in the LGTBQ community. Sometimes LGTBQ people work with me on issues directly related to their sexual orientation or gender identity. For example, people are sometimes working on coming out to friends and family, exploring their understanding of their own gender experiences or are looking for help dealing with the stresses of living in a world that can be hostile to LGTBQ people. Other times, people are looking for help dealing with something unrelated to gender and sexuality (for example, grief, self-confidence, depression, etc.) and simply want a therapist whom they know is understanding and non-pathologizing about important parts of their identity and experiences.

I am a member of Gaylesta (The Psychotherapist Association for Gender and Sexual Diversity) and a member of WPATH (the World Professional Association for Transgender Health). I have received specialized training in working with transgender and gender diverse individuals.

If you are looking for a therapist who has cultural competence in working with LGTBQ people and other aspects of my practice also appeal to you, I encourage you to schedule a free initial phone consultation here.  If you have a question you would like answered before scheduling the initial phone consultation, you can email me here, call me at 415-261-2989 or send me a text.  I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
